About the composer
Johan Nijs
Johan Nijs studied saxophone, clarinet and piano at several music academies (Belgium) He continued his musical studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels for wind band conducting , clarinet , piano ,harmony and counterpoint. He also plays flute and accordeon. He has been working fore more than 30 years as a military musician and is retired since 2019. Nowadays he regularly works as adjudicator and guest conducter and also works as composer and arranger for several music publishers.
